Set in the last part of the 1800s, this history follows Abby Walker, “Walker Independence” a well-off Bostonian whose spouse is killed before her eyes while on their process out West, as she encounters Hoyt Rawlins, an adorable rebel looking for a reason. Abby and Hoyt’s process takes them to Freedom, Texas, a modest community with a major future.
