Terrifier 3 | Verdict – Rating
The beloved slaughter-house franchise of Damien Leone masters the art (heh) of murder again in its third installment. Unfortunately, like Terrifier 2, itβs too long, too disjointed and more like a visualization board of ideas that never find their connective tissue. Terrifier 3 scores points with extremely practical gore effects and a willingness to make his audience smile – I will be ecstatic about the multiple murders of Terrifier 3 for a while. (The same cannot be said of the messianic bow now in place for Sienna Shaw by Lauren LaVera.) It seems that Leone is trying to follow the success of his franchise overnight by throwing us plot ideas in hopes that something meaningful will remain, but the result is as sloppy as expected. Art comes back to offer a night to dismember, but everything else – like coherent storytelling or continuity – plays a disappointing secondary role.
