Throughout the near future after a bitter civil battle leaves “DMZ” Manhattan a demilitarized zone (DMZ), destroyed and isolated from the rest of the world, fierce medic Alma Ortega models out on a harrowing journey to look out the son she misplaced throughout the evacuation of New York Metropolis on the onset of the battle. Standing in her strategy are gangs, militias, demagogues, and warlords, along with Parco Delgado, the favored — and deadly — chief of one of many extremely efficient gangs throughout the DMZ.
