Loosely impressed by American journalist Jake Adelstein’s non-fiction first-hand account of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat “Tokyo Vice”, the crime drama collection, filmed on location in Tokyo, captures Adelstein’s each day descent into the neon-soaked underbelly of Tokyo within the late ‘90s, the place nothing and nobody are really what or who they appear.
